Out like a Lamb

March ended rather not like a lamb for us, but more like a lion. These past few weeks have been busy but we have good news and some prayer things to ask of you all.

So far to date we have sent just under $3000CAD to Turkey for earthquake relief. THANKYOU.

The Earthquake is out of the news but still has a lot of impact on the country. We have been hearing stories here and there from friends about what they has seen and lived since the earthquake happened. For those of you that follow the news, you are aware of all the flooding probably that happened in the western region of the earthquake due to heavy rainfall paired with broken infrastructure and torn lands. Please keep praying for the people who have been impacted by the earthquake. There is still much to be done.

We also received a very large donation with which we were told was specifically to buy tickets. So we are pleased to tell you that we have purchased our tickets for our family. We leave on June 27th and will return Aug 10th. Erman’s family is o excited.

Plans for camp are coming along, we have set up a registration portal and are praying about the theme. I, Cecily, plan to write a rough draft program in the next two weeks and Erman is coordinating more and more meetings (with the 9 hrs time difference) to plan with some of the other team members. To date we have raised $3000CAD to put towards camp funds. We still are looking for more funding to allow more people to come and to cover the cost of supplies, however we can confidently say that camp is going to happen which is very very exciting!

Thank you for all your donations and prayers. You are a great support to the Body in this way.

Things to Pray for:

-Ezgi and Cecily need new passports before we leave, we also need Ezgi’s Citizenship documents for Canada in order to get her new passport. These papers have been under process for the last two years. Please pray that they get to us ASAP so we can start the applications.

-Team unity: we are starting to get closer to the date of camp which means it is more on the minds of those who want to help. Pray for consistent interest and commitment from helpers and a sharing of the load (One of the team members has a baby due in the month of May and he often does a lot of the work so we need him to delegate and others to step up)

-Turkiye: the general climate of the country is a bit fragile. There will be an election while we are there of the long standing president to hopefully change. No one really knows what will happen. With the earthquake and inflation there is a great need for truth and Someone the people can depend on. Pray that this would open doors to hearing the word and meeting the Solution.

-For the current churches in Turkey, because of all the reasons above, the harvest is ripe.

If you would like to give, you can donate on our GoFundMe https://gofund.me/94009318 page or contact me to give directly.

THANKYOU THANKYOU for sharing your interest, time and investment with us and what is happening in Turkiye.

OH and one last thought. If you would like to purchase some postcards or greatting cards from my old roommate Wendy Waldrop that I lived with in Turkey, she donated some to us to raise funds for camp.

$5 for one or 3 for $10
